Pizza is not usually something that is associated with healthy eating. We are all aware of the effect processed and ultra-processed food has on our health and wellness. But making your own home-made versions may bring health benefits for a variety of reasons:
- You may be trying to substitute a shop bought ultra-processed pizza for a home-made organic fresh one.
- You may wish to use your own choice of fresh/organic toppings.
- You have decided to use organic whole grain flour for better blood glucose balance as part of your low GI/GL dietary plan.
- You would like to increase your dietary fibre (soluble, insoluble and prebiotic) intake.
- You would like to increase your intake of varied colourful vegetables.
- You would like to enhance your cooking skills and incorporate this activity into your Mindfulness practice.
