Personalised Nutritional Therapy Consulting for Children and Young People with Epilepsy, Seizures and Autism.
Welcome to Beautiful Mind, a family-run, Integrative Nutritional Therapy Clinic dedicated to personalised nutrition and naturopathy for families of children and young adults with epilepsy, seizures and autism.
Our Approach
Our Nutritional Therapy approach for children and young people with epilepsy and autism is based on the principles of Functional Medicine which considers individual nutrition, nutrigenomics, family and health history, medications, metabolic, digestion and microbiome assessments.
The Functional Medicine Framework and Integrstuve Laboratory testing help us to provide specific food and supplement recommendations for the individual biomedical and nutrition needs of each child, young person with epilepsy and autism and their parents and carers we support.
We believe in the fundamental importance of a balanced and personalised nutrition for health and enjoy creating recipes and meal plans to meet the individual requirements of children, young people and their carers with epilepsy and autism.
By screening for potential nutritional and metabolic imbalances and medication/food/nutrient interactions and depletions we can customise food and herbal supplements (if necessary), while building the foundations of a healthy balanced personalised diet.
We offer natural solutions for tricky bowel movements, digestive discomfort, prevention of colds, seasonal and urinary tract infections, skin health and sleep issues, as well as support for feeling of calmness, optimal learning and concentration.
We run Cooking Demonstrations/Sessions and Nutrition Education Talks to our valued Community Partners on a variety of topics from building Nutritional Resilience to Prevention of common health concerns.
In Epilepsy, we explore potential lifestyle and dietary seizure triggers and work together with families and healthcare providers to optimise seizure control.
Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration for Safe and Effective Epilepsy and Autism Nutritional Therapy.
We place a huge value on collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver compassionate and holistic care for families and our community clients.
We integrate nutritional and nutrigenomic assessments and provide recommendations into the existing medical care plan complementing the critical importance of medical diagnosis and treatment in managing childhood epilepsy and autism safely. We have additional professional training in nutrigenomics, which relates to how individual genetic variations affect responses to nutrients and foods and how diet influences gene expression.
We are then able to tailor dietary recommendations based on the unique nutritional genetic makeup of each person for optimal health.
Nutrition Research in Epilepsy and Autism.
Our approach is informed by current research in epilepsy, autism and health related nutrition, as well as our ongoing training in medical, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine. Our core values are Care, Compassion, Empowerment, and a Commitment to Health, guide us in providing nutritional support for families even in the most challenging circumstances.
Nutritional Therapy for Caregivers of Children and Young People with Epilepsy and Autism.
We deeply respect the dedication of parents and carers raising children with complex medical conditions and recognize critical role they play in their children’s well-being. This is why we offer nutritional and lifestyle support for caregivers as well.
We strongly believe in the significant benefits of safe, personalized nutrition, herbal remedies, essential oils, physical activity, mind-body therapies, time spent in nature, positive social interactions, and animal therapy to support the health of children and young adults with epilepsy and autism and their families.
