About us
Beautiful Mind Health was founded out of a personal journey, sparked by my daughter’s diagnosis with Lennox-Gastaut developmental and epileptic encephalopathy epilepsy syndrome, intellectual disability, and autism over 20 years ago.
My commitment to studying nutrition and biomedical research in epilepsy and autism continues, as does my participation in research projects across the UK, including work on seizure tracking apps, Epilepsy health app, SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy) biomarkers, and neuro-imaging in genetic epilepsies and developing Transition Services.
I am passionate about supporting children and young people with epilepsy, seizures, autism and intellectual disabilities on their health journey by offering Integrated Personalised Nutritional Therapy and Naturopathic Care.
How I Can Support Your Family
Living with epilepsy presents unique challenges — but with the right support, you can take powerful steps toward optimal seizure management and improved wellbeing. My approach focuses on personalised balanced nutrition in epilepsy, while helping families understand how nutrition, environment and seizure triggers influence overall seizure control.
1. Personalised Nutrition & Naturopathy Plans
Targeted Support for Children and young adults with Epilepsy and Neurodiversity
These customised plans are designed to support and protect brain health by focusing on the powerful link between food, lifestyle and epilepsy. Through evidence-informed nutrition and naturopathy strategies, I aim to optimize seizure control with diet and lifestyle changes tailored to your child’s needs and medications.
2. Advanced Laboratory Testing
Uncover Nutritional and Metabolic Imbalances
Access functional lab tests to identify nutrient deficiencies/excesses, metabolic dysfunction, and medication-related depletions that may impact seizure control. This information-driven approach supports personalised balanced nutrition in epilepsy and helps guide more effective, targeted care.
3. Trigger Identification & Lifestyle Guidance
Managing Nutrition, Environment, and Seizure Triggers
Pinpointing nutrition, environment and seizure triggers is essential for optimal seizure management. I help families identify individual triggers and provide practical tools for managing them — including daily routines, equipment recommendations, and access to support services.
4. Support During Transition from Paediatric to Adult Services
Continuity of Care Through Every Step
Navigating changes in healthcare providers or support systems can be stressful. I provide guidance to ensure smooth transitions, reduce anxiety, and maintain consistency in seizure management strategies during these changes. I empower families to seek best solutions to maintain family relationships during and after transition.
5. Parent & Caregiver Wellness
Sustaining the Wellbeing of the Whole Family
Your health matters too. I offer ongoing nutritional and lifestyle support for parents and caregivers, helping you stay resilient, balanced, and well-equipped to support your child’s epilepsy journey.
